Privacy policy
This text describes what the app does today, written by the people who built it. It has to be read by a lawyer before the app goes on the App Store, and before anyone relies on it.
The short version
PREJUDGE has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your videos, your sessions, your routines and your settings stay on your iPhone. We cannot see them, and we could not hand them over if we were asked. The only outside party involved is the App Store, plus RevenueCat, which checks whether you have bought Pro.
Who is responsible
Prototype Coaching, the Netherlands, makes PREJUDGE and is the controller for the little data described here. Contact: support@prejudge.app.
What stays on your phone
All of this is stored on the device only, and none of it is sent anywhere:
- Videos you record, and the versions the app makes with the pose name and countdown on them.
- Your sessions, routines, notes, show dates and reminders.
- Music you import for a routine.
- Your settings, including which division and which rules you practise against.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
Camera, microphone and Photos
The app asks for the camera and the microphone to film your round, and for permission to add to Photos when you save a video. Those permissions are used for exactly that, on your phone. The app does not read your photo library, and it uploads nothing. You can refuse each one and still use the timer, and you can change your mind in iPhone Settings under PREJUDGE.
Purchases
Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your card, your address or your Apple Account.
To know whether you have Pro, and to restore it when you reinstall or change phone, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) as a processor. RevenueCat receives:
| What | Why | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase history for this app: which product, when, whether it is active | To unlock Pro and to restore it | No |
| An anonymous RevenueCat id the app generates | To tell one installation from another | No |
| The offer code you redeemed, if you redeemed one | To know which launch campaign a subscription came from | No |
No name, no email address and no Apple Account identifier is sent with it. Because RevenueCat is in the United States, that transfer rests on the standard contractual clauses in its data processing agreement. RevenueCat keeps its own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Crash reports and usage statistics
None are collected today. Nothing about how you use the app leaves your phone.
That is planned to change, and this page will be updated before it does. The plan is a crash reporter (Sentry, European data region) and counted usage events (PostHog, European cloud), both with a switch in Settings to turn them off, neither carrying video, names, notes or anything you typed. Until this page says they are live, they are not in the app.
What we never do
- No selling or sharing of personal data. Not with advertisers, not with data brokers, not with anyone.
- No advertising and no advertising identifier, so the app never asks to track you across other apps.
- No profiles, no automated decisions about you.
How long anything is kept
What is on your phone stays until you delete it or delete the app. Purchase records at RevenueCat and Apple stay as long as the subscription and their own retention rules require, so a restore still works after a reinstall.
Deleting your data
- Everything in the app: delete PREJUDGE from your iPhone. Videos you already saved to Photos stay in Photos, because they are yours; delete them there if you want them gone.
- The purchase record: mail support@prejudge.app and we will ask RevenueCat to delete it. Deleting it means a purchase can no longer be restored automatically.
- The subscription itself is cancelled in iPhone Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
Your rights in the European Union
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Because the app holds no account, most of that data never reaches us; what we can act on is the purchase record described above. Mail support@prejudge.app and you get an answer. You can also complain to your national supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
The legal basis for the purchase data is the performance of the contract between you and us, which is unlocking what you paid for.
Your rights in the United States
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California law, and we have no reason to change that. California residents can ask what we hold, ask for deletion, and are never treated differently for asking. The same address works: support@prejudge.app.
Children
PREJUDGE is not aimed at children and is not meant to be used by anyone under 16 without a parent agreeing to it. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that changes what leaves your phone is also said in the app before it takes effect.
